Head Chef

Söderfors Manor is a listed Baroque manor house dating from 1690, located on the Dalälven River in Uppland. Today, we operate a full-service boutique hotel offering a restaurant, spa, wedding services, conferences, and events year-round.

We are currently looking for a head chef who is willing to take full responsibility for the kitchen and help shape the overall experience for our guests.

This isn’t a role for someone who just wants to manage things. We’re looking for someone who leads, drives change, and raises the bar every day.

About the role
As head chef, you are responsible for everything that comes out of the kitchen. You lead the team, set the standard, and ensure quality in everything from breakfast to large events and weddings.

You will work both operationally and strategically on:
• Day-to-day kitchen operations
• Menu Development
• Staff and Scheduling
• Purchasing and Cost Control
• Organization of events and conferences

We are looking for someone who:
• Has at least 5 years of experience as a head chef or senior sous chef
• Has worked in demanding, fast-paced, and varied environments
• Has extensive expertise in all areas of the kitchen
• Passionate about Swedish and Nordic cuisine
• Has extensive experience with events, weddings, and large-scale bookings
• Has a strong understanding of finance, planning, and leadership
• Speaks Swedish and English
• Has a Class B driver’s license
