HILMA EVENTS & PROGRAMMING MANAGER – STOCKHOLM
We need a unique and passionate Events Programmer & Manager to join our team. You must be a motivated, organised and be a people person through and through.

ABOUT GENERATOR STOCKHOLM
The Generator Stockholm and Hilma Bar is a venue that pushes boundaries within the house/dance music scene with huge potential.  The objective of the venue is to provide a fair platform for many artists and performers to showcase their skills, with a focus on balancing new and up and coming artists and performers, with headliners.  We look to work with Promoters, Labels and Event organisers who share our values and principles and that bring an amazing crowd with common views.  We look to connect everyone in the scene, to give everyone an opportunity to showcase their talents and skills.

Our values and principles are based on support, safety, fairness, community, and respect.  Our offering is an ever evolving one and we are looking for someone to jump on board and help continuously reshape and adapt our offering and facilities to accommodate the needs of the market and to build on our vision.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

  • Manage social media communications to our clients and about our events
  • Be responsible for developing a consistent programming that fits the venue and revenue objectives
  • Build forward programming for the next year with key clients who share our values and who also drive revenue
  • Manage the event budget together with the General Manager
  • Report directly to the F&B Manager
  • Be responsible for finding new and innovative ways to fill the venue and meeting audience desires
  • Share the operational management of events together with the F&B Manager and General Manager
  • Drive local partnerships with suppliers and brands, always with a focus to support the local community
  • Take ownership of events and ensure it is a safe place for our staff, clients and bookers
  • Cultivate relationships with local influencers and build our existing database of useful contacts
  • Responsible for knowing what our competition is up to and find ways that we can uniquely position ourselves in a very competitive scene.
  • Ensure the atmosphere of the property is always on point through lighting, sound, music, visual and ambience

WHAT’S IN YOUR DNA

  • Have extensive knowledge of the local night club scene and culture
  • Have extensive knowledge of electronic/house/dance music scene and all that comes with it
  • Possess the ability to secure sponsorship for events
  • Have strong organization skills, deadline driven and be able to manage projects
  • Be culturally aware and stay on top of trends in the electronic music scene
  • Be outgoing, organised, and friendly by nature
  • Be able to demonstrate calmness under pressure and be a creative problem solver
  • Be competent and able behind a bar – know your way around some drinks
  • Have good Swedish and English skills both written and spoken
  • You must be honest, a team player and forward thinker
  • Be excellent at communication
  • LGBTQ friendly
  • Non-judgemental, multicultural, and tolerant
  • You must be eligible to work in Sweden

YOUR ROCK STAR EXPERIENCE

  • Have experience in generating new business and building upon existing relationships with local and European labels, promoters, and event organisers
  • Have a strong network of contacts within the electronic/house and dance music scene
  • Be able to programme an interesting and engaging calendar of events that appeal to locals and tourists alike
  • Be commercially driven, sales focused and creative-minded
