ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL is a bold and immersive concept based on innovation, sensory experiences and art in a sub-zero environment. We are entering a new phase of growth and are now looking for an experienced Operations Manager with the potential to open and operate our future ICEBARs.

We are expanding in Europe and we are starting in Copenhagen this fall.

Location
• Able to work 4-5 days per week in Copenhagen, Denmark from Fall 2025. (est. September).
• Employed by ICEHOTEL AB in Sweden on a Swedish contract.
• Based in Sweden or Copenhagen, open to remote working and with easy access to an airport
• Right candidate with potential should be able to travel to support future ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL openings 4-5 days per week within Europe.

Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for the pre-opening, opening, and day-to-day operations of ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL Copenhagen – ensuring excellence in guest experience, operational execution, financial performance, and team leadership. In addition to serving as a local partner and brand ambassador for ICEBAR and ICEHOTEL, this hands-on leader works closely with their peers in the ICEHOTEL leadership team to ensure consistency and maximize the visibility of the ICEBAR and ICEHOTEL brands.

Purpose and Objective of the Role
• Ensure ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL delivers a premium and consistent guest experience reflecting and promoting the ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL and ICEHOTEL brands.
• Recruit, engage, lead and support the local team to achieve operational excellence and the budgeted financial performance.
• Implement and ensure that standard operational processes and best practices are followed for brand consistency and operational efficiency.
• Establish and secure relationships with local suppliers and relevant partners.
• Act as the operational leader and local ambassador of the ICEBAR and ICEHOTEL.

Key Responsibilities
• Translate the ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL concept into a daily operational plan, including roles, responsibilities, standard operational processes and best practices, with key performance indicators.
• Establish a pre-opening and opening project plan with clear deliverables, time plan, dependencies, roles and responsibilities.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure consistency, quality, guest experience and operational efficiencies.
• Attract, hire, train, onboard, engage, and retain high-performing employees.
• Establish and nurture a positive, performance-driven culture reflecting ICEHOTEL’s values (Genuine, Kind and Together).
• Deliver on financial budget: drive revenue targets, control expenses, manage labor costs, and proactively flag risks and opportunities.
• Take ownership of the ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL Copenhagen budget, forecast and performance.
• Work closely with the ICEHOTEL team (especially with the ICEHOTEL CEO, Financial Director, Marketing Director, Creative Director and Ice Production Manager).
• Represent ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL locally and build strong relationships with local partners and suppliers.
• Challenge ways of working to improve the guest experience, operational efficiencies, profitability, employee engagement and the positioning of the ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL and ICEHOTEL brands.

Success Criteria
• Guest satisfaction: Guest reviews on Google/ TripAdvisor/ Reddit and other partner forums.
• Employee engagement: ICEHOTEL Employee Engagement Survey, employee turnover rate and feedback from exit interviews.
• Delivers on financial objectives, drives revenue, manages expenses and labor costs, and proactively flags risks.
• Operations are well-structured, well run and consistent with clarity of roles and responsibilities.
• Strong collaboration with ICEHOTEL management team members, the Creative and Production teams.
• Recognized as a reliable partner with local stakeholders (travel trade, retailers, suppliers).

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of operational management role from hospitality, Food & Beverage, events or lifestyle boutique venues.
• Experience from hiring, creating and managing a team.
• Structured with strong organizational and communication skills
• Entrepreneurial with understanding and experience in managing financial performance (revenues, scheduling, cost management).
• Comfortable working and getting things done in a dynamic, varied and customer-centric business, where the line manager is based in another country.
• Able able to travel 4-5 days per week within Europe as required
• Fluency in English.
• EU working permit.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience from pre-opening and/or opening.
• Proficiency in one of the Scandinavian languages.
