ARKET is a brand within the H&M Group. We are a modern-day market that offers essential products for men, women, children and the home. ARKET stores also include a café based on the New Nordic Food Manifesto. ARKET’s mission is to democratise quality through widely accessible, well-made, durable products, designed to be used and loved for a long time. Since opening in 2017, ARKET has opened 29 stores and cafés throughout Europe and Asia, and we are continuing our growth journey.
The role
As Operations Manager within the ARKET Café team you will be responsible for translating the café concept into needs for all relevant stakeholders. You will also set the strategy for operations globally to develop and maintain operational and conceptual excellence in a profitable way. Together with the Area teams you will drive knowledge sharing, best practice, and create the global café training plan.
As team lead for all café expansion projects, you set up a structured process to make sure that all aspects of opening new cafés are done in time and in alignment with all stakeholders. You will also support the development of café layouts by contributing operational knowledge and be the first point of contact for the café team for expansion & area teams when opening a new unit.
As a member of the café team at ARKET you also contribute to our great culture of collaboration, empowerment, and openness. And of course, participate in the occasional pastry tasting.
We are looking for
a team player with experience from the food and beverage industry who has great communication skills, a problem-solving mindset and that feels comfortable working in a fast-moving environment focusing on growth.
• Minimum five years operational kitchen/café experience
• Hospitality Management education and/or experience
• Experience from setting up operational café processes, such as defining function plans and creating budgets
• Knowledge and/or experience in what drives profitability in a café organisation
• Leadership and recruitment experience
• International experience, expansion experience preferred
• Business administration skills
• Fluent in English, both orally and written. Other language skills are a merit.
The position is a full time and based in our head office in Stockholm.
