This autumn, ICEHOTEL is opening its first self-operated ice bar outside of Sweden: ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL COPENHAGEN. The bar will be built entirely from natural ice and snow sourced from the Torne River in Jukkasjärvi, the same place where ICEHOTEL was founded in 1989 and has since become an iconic destination for guests from all over the world. Now, we’re bringing our unique ice experience to Europe, and you have the chance to be part of it from the very beginning.
We’re looking for a passionate Site Manager to help create a space where art, ice, and creativity come together, a bar where guests can experience the magic and atmosphere of ICEHOTEL in a new setting. ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL COPENHAGEN will be a place for enriching encounters, where ICEHOTEL’s values and world-renowned concept come to life in an international context.
About the role
The ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL Site Manager is the foremost representative of ICEBAR BY
ICEHOTEL, responsible for building strong relationships with both internal and external
stakeholders.
This role ensures that ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL’s values, vision, and customer experience are consistently upheld and communicated, while also maintaining close alignment with ICEHOTEL.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL’s primary representative.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with internal teams, guests, and external partners. Evening and weekend work can occur.
• Safeguard ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL’s interests and provide regular reporting to ICEHOTEL.
• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the “embassy” including staff management and performance.
• Develop, negotiate, and finalize agreements and proposals.
• Take responsibility for HR-related processes, including recruitment, training, and staff development.
• Manage ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL’s presence on social media and ensure consistent, engaging communication with support of ICEHOTEL marketing team.
• Drive local marketing initiatives and coordinate events that enhance visibility and brand awareness.
• Ensure that the ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL concept and experience plan are implemented and maintained at the highest standard.
Qualifications & Competencies
• Proven experience in hospitality, tourism, or customer experience industries.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Knowledge of marketing, social media, and event coordination.
• Structured, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Working Conditions
Location: Copenhagen, ICEBAR BY ICEHOTEL.
Type of employment: Fulltime position.
Start date: The position is available from October or by agreement.
